Coastline Atlas Anatolia
Anatolia has often been depicted as a picturesque steppe and desolate continent either as a place of discovery or as an abandoned geography. Little research has been done on the landscape identity and its cartographic representation. This research is a cartographic inquiry into the archive materials that chart and represent Anatolia. It is a layered imagination of maps, aerial photographs, satellite images, film excerpts (cartographic cinema), and travelogues (cartographic narration), (with a particular focus on the identification of waterscapes such as riverbanks, shorelines, dams, creeks, and the steppe).
